1. Be consistent in writing dates.
2. Use either the day-month-year style: 21 Apr. 2008,
or the month-day-year style: Apr. 21, 2008
Use abbreviations for months in headings,
except for May, June and July;

3. Spell out centuries in lower case; "the twentieth century".
Hyphenate centuries when they are used as adjectives
before nouns: "nineteenth-century thought"
