5. 5. 4 [CITING NONPERIODICAL PRINT PUBLICATIONS]
A Book by Two or More Authors (MLA 154-156)
(parenthetical reference)

Give both last names with "and" between each name,
followed by a space and the page number, if cited.
For more than two names, see (5) below.

(Works Cited guidelines)

1. Give the authors' names in the same order as on
the title page--not necessarily in alphabetical order.
2. Reverse only the name of the first author, add a comma,
and give the names of the other authors in normal form.
3. Place a period after the last name.
4. Even if the authors have the same last name,
   state each name in full.
5. If there are more than three authors, you may name
only the first and add "et al." ('and others'), or you
may give all names in full in the order in which they
   appear on the title page.
6. Medium: Print (at the end, followed by a period).
