• Check for paper length (1000 words minimum); use the word count feature in Word.



• Check that your parenthetical references in your paper alphabetically match the alphabetically arranged list of the Works Cited at the end of your paper.



• Check that your Works Cited sources at the end of your paper (five minimum, with only two Web-based sources) follow the correct formats from the format examples in the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.



• Check for periods at the end of all references on the Work Cited at the end of your paper.
